There are plenty of companies that would love to have you which align with your poltical leanings. If you want to avoid the other side, then just don't apply. There are companies that are very open about their political leanings. So what can you do to minimize the chances of politics coming up somewhere along the hiring process? Is it illegal? Of course, it is but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Make no mistake about it, YOU CAN LOSE A JOB OPPORTUNITY IF YOU BRING UP POLITICS!!! In this day and age, there is very few conversations about politics that don't ignite into full blown conflict.
Remember, if you are job hunting, please please please, keep your opinions on political and social issues to yourself. I am probably going to get a lot of slack for this and that is exactly why I am saying this.
